42 WINNETKA TALK December 19, 1925 College Leader to Present Xmas Radio Talk Next Monda» The child's participation in Christ- mas, will be the subject of a radio talk to mothers, given by Miss Edna Dean Baker, president of the National Kindergarten and Elementary college, Monday afternoon, December 21. The talk is one of a series on child train- ing which is being given under the direction of the college between 4 and 4:30 o'clock on the third Monday of each month, from the Daily News radio station, WMAQ. The current topic will deal with the opportunities and dangers of the Christmas season in the formation of right attitude and habits in the little child, and through her close associa- tion with children and mothers Miss Baker is in a position to give many valuable suggestions on the subject. On Christmas Eve, December 24, Miss Baker will tell The Legend of the Christ Child from the Tribune radio station, WGN, during the chil- dren's story hour from 5 to 5:30 o'clock. The legend is the old story of the little Christ Child who wanders through the world on Christmas Eve seeking shelter and love, and is par- ticularly appropriate for just this time. A musical accompaniment has been ar- ranged, and will be played by Francis M. Arnold, and the program will also include Christmas carols by students of the college. R. E. Cazel Appears to Be "Sold" on Pasadena R. E. Cazel, well known resident of Winnetka for many years, is doing some very effective boosting for Pasadena, Cal, where he established his business and home about six years ago. Mr. Cazel, who is in the linoleum business. was quoted recently in a Pasadena newspaper regarding build- ing conditions in the Southern Calif- ornia city. He urged the city to push its program of home building to better accommodate the newcomers who are constantly seeking places to live on the Southwest coast. A trip to Chicago last year served to convince him he had no desire ever to Mlive anywhere outside of Pasadena, Mr. Cazel informed the Pasadena paper.
