They are "The Unholy Three", with Lon Chaney, and "Shore Leave", with Richard Barthelmess. "The Unholy Three" will be shown Monday and Tuesday, December 28 and 29. This picture would come pretty close to victory in a race for the title of "best picture of the year." It is very unusual; a crook drama that is different, with no sentimental glori- fying of crime. The cast is perfect, although the only well known naianes, besides that of the star, are Mae Busch and Matt Moore. It is thrill- ing, gripping, and has an ending that 1s tense with drama. When it is all over you will have to think twice he- fore you can tell who is really the villain. There will also be a Hal Roach comedy and chapter six of the serial "Wild West" will be shown at the Tuesday matinee. On Wednesday and Thursday, De- cember 30 and 31, the feature picture will be "Hogan's Alley," with an all- star cast including Monte Blue, Patsy Ruth Miller, Mary Carr and Louise Fazenda. This production is a fast comedy-drama, in which there are such thrills as airplane stunts, prize fights, a train wreck ard many others, With it will be shown a Harry Lang- don comedy, "All Night Long". Mr. Langdon is given the title of "King of the Laughmakers" and he certainly deserves it in this picture. There will also be a Pathe review. Dick Barthelmess in "Shore Ieave" will start the year out right for you.. This picture will be seen Friday and Saturday, January 1 and 2. Dick as "Bilge" Smith, the tough little gob, will make you like him as you never have before. Beside the feature there will be a Buster and Tige comedy, "Oh Buster" and a Pathe news reel. Milton Sills, in his great picture "The Knockout," will be seen on Thursday. Friday and Saturday. "The Knockout"--an FEarl Hudson screen version of M. D.
