Mr. Spry is associated with the Co- lumbia School of Music and is teach- ing every Wednesday in Winnetka, during the present school year. Being a resident of Evanston he is well known in musical circles in the univer- sity town and is popular as a recitalist in musicales. He is the type of Amer- ican musician who has worked faith- fully and successfully for the cause of good music. Not long ago he cel- ebrated his twenty-fifth anniversary as a recitalist, playing a program of great composers he had heard. Among these '|were Brahms, Rubenstein, Saint-Saens, Leschetisky, Godowsky, Dohnanyi, '{ MacDowell and John H. Carpenter. Cabray Wortley, 565 Lincoln avenue, is home for the holidays.
