Moore, the director, has announced. The speaker will be Dr. M. Ashby Jones of Atlanta, president of the Inter-Race Relations Commission which is doing the biggest piece of constructive work on the problem of race relations in the South that has been undertaken since the Civil war. Dr. Jones is the minister of one of the largest churches in the South and is therefore a re- liable exponent of the pogressive pub- lic opinion in the South on what has been a seemingly insoluble social prob- lem. Dr. Jones' subject will be "The Race Problem from a Southern Stand Point." The usual question period will follow the address. Music will be provided by a negro male quartet from the Metropolitan Glee club. SKOKIE MOTOR COMPANY The only Authorized Ford Dealers Between Evanston and Highland Park. WINNETKA, ILL. 712-14-16 Elm Street | Milan Lusk Gains Big Following of Radio Listeners Recently Milan Lusk, the dis- tinguished violinist, appeared on a special radio program and achieved a noteworthy success. Letters attesting to the remarkably fine performance Lave been pouring in from all sides, it is said. Douglass, writing in the Chicago Tribune of December 24, says: "The recital by Milan Lusk was, as always, filled with interest and en- joyment. Mr. Lusk produces tones as fine and pure as a thread cr round and full and robust, and his technic is so perfect that it sounds as though the violin could sound no other way." Within the next two months, Mr. Lusk is billed to appear in some of the largest music centers in Illinois, Michigan, Kansas, and probably Iowa. He will give an entire recital in the College Auditorium of the University of Illinois on February 11. "Compromise--Is Progress Always Unethical?" will be the subject at the services of the North Shore Congre- gation Friday evening, January 1, at 8:15 o'clock.
