Be i January 9, 1926 WINNETKA TALK Children Appear in Charming Program at Winnetka Club The pupils from the different schools in Winnetka did great credit to them- selves and much honor to their schools in the children's entertainment given at the Winnetka Woman"s club the last Tuesday afternoon in December. Pupils from the North Shore Country Day school sang folk songs in Russian costume, under the supervision of Miss Helen Davis. Mrs. Homer Cotton di- rected a trio from New Trier high school. These young people are highly talented and played charmingly, a "Serenade" 'by Liebe, "Adagio" by Beethoven, "Moment Musical" by Schubert, and a "Hungarian Dance" by Brahms. The pantomime by the Skokie school pupils was beautifully done, and was received with great glee by the many children in the audience. After the singing of familiar Christ- mas carols, lollypops were passed to the children. The committee in charge was composed of Mrs. Ernst von Ammon and Mrs. Warner Robinson. The afternoon's hostesses were Mrs. Benjamin Affleck, Mrs. Frederick Christopher, Mrs. A. G. Henning, Mrs. Ralph Brockett, Mrs. William Elliott, and Mrs. Charles Thompson.
