Cream / Elgin Cage Champs Bow Before New Trier Fives New Trier High school basketball quintets, heavy and lightweight, de- feated teams from Elgin high schoo! last Saturday evening in some of the fastest playing ever seen on the New Trier floor. The Gray and Green heavies trimmed their opponents by a score of 30-28, while the lightweight boys trounced the Elgin five 25-22. Elgin was state champion last year and has not been beaten in two years. The school is noted for having strong basketball teams and the New Trier victory came as a surprise to many fans. All four games were very fast and replete with brilliant play, the teams being very evenly matched. Fred Schmidt, of the New Trier heavyweight team was the individual star of the game and of his own team. He scored 19 point out of the 30 which won the game. James Sheldon and James Lawton were the stars for the New Trier lightweights. Beauty Lies in Healthy EYES It's not so much the size or color of the EYES that makes them beautiful.
