41 i -- wy " R January 30, 1926 WINNETKA TALK 35 Legionnaires to Hear Vaudeville Team February 1 At the meeting of the Winnetka | Post, No. 10, American Legion which | will be held in the Legion room at Community House Monday evening, February 1, at 8 o'clock, there will be entertainment by a professional team well known in vaudeville, Al Lehmas and Slim Greenloh. These men be- longed to the same organization dur- ing the war and have been appearing together with great success in vaude ville for some years. The arrange- ments for the entertainment were made through Cope Harvey, the organizer and leader of the Cope Harvey orches- tras. Prior to the entertainment a short business session will be held. The ques- tion of the annual entertainment will be considered. There may be some vio- lent repercussions from the famous court-martial trial held at the last meeting in Star-Chamber session amid tense and dramatic scenes. It is un- derstood that a Congressional investi- gation of some of the charges made at that trial may be demanded. The Post will also vote on the World Court re- solution. Wins Prize in Chicago Architectural Contest Ralph W. Varney, 535 Cherry street, well known architect, was awarded the second prize in an architectural contest conducted by the Midland club, of Chicago, recently. The decision of the jury was announced last Saturday. The competition was held under the aus- pices of the Chicago chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and the first prize was won by K.
