April 10, 1920 WINNETKA TALK 43 for Grown-ups at Church Frolic (Contributed) Backward, turn backward O, Time, In your flight And make me a kid again just for Tonight. The old couplet (with slight varia- tion so that the women folk might be included) was the slogan of all pres- ent at the Spring Frolic of the mem- bers and friends of the Winnetka Con- gregational church, Monday evening. And Time did turn back. No one was over fourteen. Agility was renewed, perceptions heightened, acquaintances strength- ened, risibles exercised, friendships en- joyed and fellowship proved. - New games for old people and old games for new people resulted in a | general frolicsome mix-up. The chariot | race with Ayres Boal the winner and "Marty" Moon a close second, was a | thriller not soon to be forgotten. | James Fentress' delightful negro melo- | dies which, like his own spirit, never | grow old, were thoroughly enjoyed. | And the comedia del arte, executed absolutely impromptu, was a plea of great charm and finish, the denoue- ment being especially climatic. The rescue of Helen Davis, the heroine, from the storm, by Chief Davies, the hero, was cleverly executed. And so on, one might enlarge in- definitely on the details of this fun and frolic party which was so success- fully managed by our new leader and friend, Mr. Goodwin.
