This is the last play of what has proved to be the most successful season in the Players' history. The member- ship has been increased by nearly 100 names and about 300 persons have contributed some effort in putting on_the year's program, it is said. The plays have set a fine standard for which Mrs. Lloyd A. Faxon, as chair- man of the program committee, de- serves much credit. "Tillie of Bloomsbury" is under the direction of Mrs. John Marshall, as- sisted by Mrs. Charles Karnopp, and the cast is as follows: Able Main- waring, M. Young Men's Group Plans Discussion, Baseball Program The Young Men's class of the Win- netka Congregational church school, has just completed a series of discus- sions on Fosdick's book, "The Mod- ern Use of the Bible," and now plans a seires of timely religious questions, as follows: May 2, "The Meaning of Church Membership." May 9, "Can God and Evolution Go Together?" May 16, "How Should a Christian Spend Sun- day." The class plans to take advantage of the long "daylight-saving" eve- nings to play some baseball The first game, with an indoor ball, 1s scheduled to be played on the Lake Front park, Sheridan road and Maple street, on Thursday, May 6, from 6 p. m. until dark. A cordial welcome is extended to all young men above the high school age too attend any or all of these meet- ings. VISIT PIRATE SHIP Miss Marian Elwell and Miss Dorothy LeBo's third grade pupils of Horace Mann school, made a trip to Lincoln park, Thursday afternoon of this week, to visit the old English pir- ate ship, which has been on exhibition in and about Chicago for some time. The children are studying the Vikings in connection with Norse history. Ralph Varney of 535 Cherry street was one of the hosts at the dinner given Friday, April 30, at the Art in- stitute, for 40 or more local architects who graduated from Massachusetts In- stitute of Technology.
