Mr. Shipman will have as his best man, William Woodward of Evanston, and the ushers are to be Giles Weiss, Richard Osgood, Keith Davis of Wil- mette, and Kenneth Stixrud, brother of the bride-elect. Among the pre-nuptial affairs are the following: Mrs. Weiss gave a per- sonal shower May 18. Mrs. R. A. Hoag- land and Mrs. Orwig of Winnetka gave a shower at the former's home Friday, May 28. On June 5, the Misses Shipman will give a linen shower and tea for Miss Stixrud, and on Monday, June 9, the bride-elect's mother will give a trousseau tea. Mr. and Mrs. Stixrud will give the bridal dinner for the entire wedding party at Skokie Country club Friday, June 11. The wedding will take place Satur- day evening, June 12, at Christ church, Winnetka, at 8:30 o'clock. The Ash Street circle meeting has been postponed to June 15, it is an- nouced, on account of the circle din- ner to be held Tuesday, June 8. The meeting, on June 15, will be a picnic at the lake front.
