WINNETKA TALK June 12, 1926 Tongregational Church Sunday, June 13th Morning-- 11:00 Commencement Sunday for the Church School. Evening-- Sermon by Rev. J. "Modern 8:00 Evening Worship. A. Richards. Subject, Demoniacs."" Mass Production uts Truck Costs Sales of Graham Brothers Trucks have reached such enormous figures that buyers profit by un- equaled low initial costs. Note the price of the G-BOY, the new one-ton truck. Only mass production, unap- proached building and buying power, plus years of experience, could produce a truck so staunch and sturdy at so low a figure. The school awards each year several service pins, to those members of the graduating class who, by their unsel- fish service to their school, to their fellow school mates and to those whom they meet in daily life, have made the school motto a measure of their daily living. The eight upon whom this honor has been conferred this year, follow: William Snyder, Jane = Copthorne, Bernice Augdahl, Jean Forrest, Louis Dean, Robert Pearse, Edward Porter and Hintom Clabaugh. DECIDE ON PERMIT The Winnetka Village council will decide whether or not it will grant the petition of the Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee railroad for a permit to build a substation on its property near Pine street at its meeting next Tues- day evening, June 15. The matter has been under consideration for several weeks and a public hearing has been held. Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Bingham, Jr., of Highland Park, son-in-law and daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Mansfield Jones, will occupy the Jones' residence until Mrs. Jones and her son return from Europe. --0-- John Shaw, who is attending Harvard university, and his father, Arch Shaw, of Locust road, will sail from- Boston June 20, on the Sedge- wick, to spend a month in England. They will return home late in July. INDIVIDUALITY When your hair has been dressed by us, you may feel assured that it is dressed correctly and has that marked note of individuality. The num- bers selected by the artists, and their efficient handling of technique and in- terpretation proved that husbands, babies and household routine need not prevent a true musician from spending many profitable hours with her music. Judging from last Monday's program, one is even tempted to recommend marriage for a final "rounding out." Mrs. Dwight C. Orcutt of Glencoe, the new club president, presided most charmingly. The Winnetka Woman's club was tastefully arranged as a drawing room with floor lamps of soft colors, oriental rugs and masses of flowers. The following was the program giv- en, after which delectable sandwiches, cakes and coffee were served.
