The Lake Front Park Beach will be officially open from 9:00 o'clock a. m. to 9:00 o'clock p. m. and the Elder Lane Beach from 1:00 o'clock p. m. to 9:00 o'clock p. m. 3. One of two guards will be on duty continuously between the above hours. 4. A matron will be on duty at the Lake Front Beach from 12:00 o'clock noon to 6:00 o'clock p. m. and from 7:00 o'clock p. m. to 9:00 o'clock p. m. The temperature of the water and air will be marked on the bulletin board each day. If the water is too rough or too cold for bathing, the beach will be closed and a sign to that effect displayed. Will Permit Fires Fires will be permited for picnic par- ties, except on Saturday afternoons, Sundays and holidays. 8. No dogs are allowed in the parks or on the beaches. 9. No clothing of any nature may be left on the beach at Lake Front Park, but must be placed in the bath house where lockers are provided for that purpose. 10. No dressing or undressing is per- mitted except in the bath house at Lake Front Park. 11. Profane language or rough conduct will not be tolerated. 12. For purposes of safety children un- der eight (8) years will not be per- mitted to bathe at this beach unless accompanied by an adult. 13. No smoking is permitted in the bath house. 14. Anyone breaking glass on the beach will be subject to arrest. 15. Winnetka residents using the beaches may secure a family season ticket from the Treasurer of the Win- netka Park District, at a price of $2.00 prior to June 15th and $3.00 after June 15th. This ticket entitles the family and two house guests at any one time to the use of the beaches and the bath house for the season. Each ticket is numbered and those using the beach may simply state the number on the ticket and the family name to the guard, matron or police officer on duty, the ticket being retained at home. 16. The charges, in lieu of the ticket, will be 50c for adults and 25c for chil- dren, on Saturdays, Sundays and holi- days, on other days, the charges will be 25¢ for adults and 10c for children. An additional fee of 25¢ will be made for the use of a locker at the Lake Front Park Beach, to those not hold- ing a ticket, on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The foregoing fees must be paid to the attendant on duty in the bathing house at Lake Front Park, and to the guard on duty at Elder Lane Beach, before using the beach facilities. 17. Chapter to Erect Tavern Marker A temporary marker will be placed on the site of Chicago's first tavern, called Sauganash, and erected in 1829 by Mark Beaubien on the southeast corner of Market and Lake streets, on Flag day, June 14, by the Kaskaskia chapter, Daughters of American Revo- lution, Mrs. Melville C. Chatten of Winnetka, regent. When first erected, this frame build- ing was the pride of the town, it is stated. It was there when Chicago was incorporated as a town in 1833, when that first election of trustees was held. CHURCH SOCIETY SUPPER Mr. and Mrs. Ernest S. Ballard and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond E.
