Mouat Interested One of the largest building cam- paigns which the north shore has wit- nessed for a long time is now just be- ing started in Kenilworth Gardens, and it is said that as soon as underground improvements, including sewer and water are installed in this section it is planned to go forward on a very much larger scale. A J. Mouat, of 35 North Dearborn street, Chicago, and a resident of Wil- mette, at 610 Lake avenue, who, with his associates have built thousands of | homes in Chicago and its various sub- urbs during the past fifteen years and who is now considered one of the largest builders in Chicago, is the man | who is starting things in Kenilworth | Gardens, the beautiful undeveloped section in the north west part of Wil- mette. Mr. Mouat has purchased from A. H. Kraus & Co. thirty-three lots on Ridge road and Kenilworth boulevard in the Kenilworth Gardens. lots on Ridge road and Kenilworth On these lots and also on another large holding in this section on which Mr. Mouat has option, is where he has already started construction of three modern dwellings, and just as soon as the improvements go in, which, it is said will be this summer, he ex- pects to improve the balance of his plants. They will have hard wood floors and trim, a fire place, and will, it is said, in every other way be strictly modern and up to the minute. The sale price of these houses, it is said, will run from $15,000 to $25,000, with low down payments and 'easy terms. Benjamin Hess Secures Residence in Wilmette Leslie H. Hanawalt, through the real estate firm of Heinsen and Kroll, 421 Fourth street, has sold his resi- dence property at 430 Ninth street, Wilmette, to Benjamin Hess, who is in the insurance business in Evanston. Mr. Hess will take possession July 1, after the completion of some remodel- ing of the property. Mr. Hanawalt is building a hew home in the 1300 block on Ashland avenue, which will be ready for occupancy when the family returns from its vacation in September. Shoe Manufacturer Will Take Wilmette Residence C. H. Brethold, the Wilmette con- tractor and builder at 545 Main street, is building for P. J. Minogue, the shoe manufacturer, of Chicago, a six-room brick veneer residence in Evanston, at Ridge avenue, which, it is anticipated, will be completed by October 1.
