CMe ORRINGTON Evanston's Largest and Finest Hotel Car and Delivery Truck in Elm Street Crash A Ford touring car driven by Carl Papa, of 902 Linden avenue, and a light delivery Ford truck driven by James L. Sutherland, of 938 Cherry street, collided at Elm and Linden, Tuesday evening about 8 o'clock. Papa was driving east on Elm and Sutherland, who was driving in the opposite direc- when the cars crashed. Neither of the drivers were injured and Papa's car was little damaged, but a wheel was knocked off the truck. The J. Franklin Nelson family of 314 Walnut street, left Sunday for Michi- gan. They will go to Detroit and Lansing, and expect to stop over a few days with Mr. Nelson's aunt in Mem- phis. A cousin will accompany them on the trip. There will undoubtedly be a capaci- ty attendance at this concert which will be the ninth of the series and consequently next to the last to be presented this season. The great interest and enthusiasm shown by the children for the Thurs- day afternoon concerts has been high- ly gratifying to the members of the committee in charge. Each Thursday afternoon entertain- ment program this summer has been in charge of some one of the north shore towns. This week Thursday was Highland Park day and the children of the Eli Bates Home were the guests of the Ravinia Club and were enter- tained at luncheon by the Highland Park committee. Basket lunches were served in the park after which the children attended the concert. After the musical numbers by the Chicago Symphony orchestra, conducted by Eric Del.amarter, the program was given by a group of child artists, Mil- dred Waldman, pianist; John Horn, cellist; Harry Mazur, violinist, and Saul Dorfman, pianist. An interesting program is being ar- ranged for the tenth and last concert vided for the tenth and last concert Thursday afternoon, September 2, which will close a most successful Children's Thursday afternoon concert season. Miss Marion Osten of 913 Cherry street, with Miss Penelope Gooch of Ravenswood, left last Saturday to join a group of young folks at Hemlock Lodge resort, Eagle River, Wis., where they will spend their vacation.
