September 11, 1926 WINNETKA TALK OPEN NEW ADDITION Chandler's Book Store at Fountain Square, Evanston, Enlarges Quar- ters Distinction and beauty characterize the new addition to Chandler's store at Fountain Square, Evanston, which was opened to the public this week. The new quarters which add nearly 1,600 square feet to the floor space of this already commodious store, are oc- cupied by the book, gift and stationery departments. No expense has been spared to make the new room a center of beau- ty. The entire interior is finished in ivory tone enamel with walnut trim- mings. The floor is constructed of moulstone, adding much to the attrac- tiveness of the room. Entrance to the addition can be made from Sherman avenue where three large show windows, containing pleasing displays, attract the atten- tion of the passers-by. The book department which was for- merly located in another room of the store now occupies a much larger and better lighted quarters in the new ad- dition. Books of poetry, drama, travel and fiction may all be found on the nu- merous new shelves that have been in- stalled.
