RJ September 25, 1926 WINNETKA TALK College Club Plans Scholarship Ball in Evanston, October 13 The Evanston Smith College club, which includes former students and alumnae from Highland Park to Ev- anston, will give a Scholarship Ball, Wednesday, October 13, at 9 in the evening at the Evanston Country club. Unusually good music is promised by the chairman of the Ball, Mrs. Edward Sutherland Clark, (Elizabeth Camp- bell), as Jerry Conley and her orches- tra will play. Jerry is the "red-headed music-maker," of great fame along the north shore. Mrs. Clark. and Mrs. Joseph IL. Cor- «coran, of Evanston, president of the Smith College club, are co-operating in their efforts to make the ball one of the most beautiful and attractive dances of its kind. The entertainment, which will be announced later, is to be most unusual. The list of committee chairmen, be- side Mrs. Edward S. Clark, whose marriage last year was one of the out- standing social events in Evanston, and Mrs. Joseph L. Corcoran of Ev- anston as president of the club, in- clude Miss Margaret Scott, of Evans- ton, a cousin of Mr. and Mrs. Fred- erick Scott, Sheridan road, Hubbard Woods, who will be in charge of the refreshments; Miss Neola Northam of Evanston is to be in charge of the ad- vertising ; Miss Virginia Forbes of Ev- anston who will attend to the enter- tainment, assisted by her 'committee, and Miss Margaret Delay. of Win- netka, Miss Gwendolen Washington of Glencoe, and Miss Caroline Schofield in Highland Park, in charge of tickets in their village. Miss Alice Judson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Judson, 542 Sheridan road, Evanston, is secretary of the Smith College club, and is also assisting in the arrange- ments. The list of patrons and patronesses will be announced later. Information regarding tickets may be had from the people listed above. The dance promises to be one of the outstanding events in this early season of the win- ter's social activities. PLAN HARVEST PARTY A Harvest Home party on Saturday evening, October 2, has been planned by the house committee of the Wil- 'mette Golf club as the climax of the summer's social season.
