Would Stop Building of Clubs In "No Man's Land" Plans for preventing the erection of the two clubhouses and the theater and store buildings now proposed for "No Man's Land," between Kenilworth and Wilmette, were discussed at a meeting lof representatives of both commun- [ities held at the Kenilworth commun- ity house last Sunday evening. The meeting was called by James C. Mur- | ray, president of the Kenilworth board, and more than one hundred persons attended. Trustee Clarence E. Dray- er and Village Attorney Charles H. Jackson of Wilmette represented the Village board. The clubs which are planning to erect buildings on the grounds are the Vista del Lago and the Breakers. A syndicate of north shore men have already started con- struction on a theater and block of stores. Attorney Charles H. Jackson of Wilmette and Attorney Andrew Jackson of Kenilworth were instruct- ed to investigate the possibility of stopping the construction of these buildings by law. Circle Begins Its Series of Tuesday Evening Meetings Friendship circle has started its winter activities. a club for young women working in Winnetka homes and it meets at Community House, every Tuesday evening at 8:30 o'clock. The early part of the evening is given over to gymnasium work, un- der the direction of Mrs. Dale, one of the playground directors of the Win- netka public schools. Later the girls gather in the neighborhood room for a social friendly evening, with music and games. During the year, the club will give several dances and bunco parties. Mrs. Morton Cahn, leader of the Friendship circle, says girls should not hesitate to come, simply because they have not attended these gatherings be- fore. "We will welcome all new members,' Mrs. Cahn says, "for we are anxious to enlarge the club. Just come to Community House next Tuesday eve- ning, and ask for Friendship circle."
