Hence evil is not made and is not real" (p.311). RETURN FROM WEST Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Ilg of 1050 Oak street, Winnetka, have returned from a two months' sojourn in Cali- fornia and other places in the west. Mrs. W. D. Pittman, Jr., of Detroit, Mich., will arrive in Winnetka, Octo- ber 16 to attend the wedding of Miss Elsie Blatchford. Mrs. Pittman, who was Margaret Mercer before her mar- riage, will attend Miss Blatchford as one of her bridesmaids. --(-- Mrs. E. E. White of 391 Hawthorn lane, is taking an extensive trip through Europe. Wilmette Youth Takes Honors at "Y" Summer Camp A Wilmette boy, Carl Hall, 14 years of age, of 809 Central avenue, at the big Fall Rally of the Evanston Y. M. C. A. Friday night, was awarded the much prized camp pennant for the past season, which is given the boy who shows the most development in his character and personality at the end of the camp season. Camp Echo, which is located on a beautiful point jutting out into Long Lake, Mich., thirty miles north of Muskegon, is popular with Wilmette boys, about twenty having spent from two to six weeks under canvas there this past season. Evanston "Y" with its membership of 822 in the boys' department, is the second largest in the state, being ex- ceeded only by the Hyde Park "Y". N. T. Student Council Holds Initial Meeting The Student council of New Trier high school, which is the student ad- visory body to the principal, consist- ing of a representative from each ad- viser room, held its first meeting Mon- day of this week. Most of the time was consumed in plans of organization. As a result of the election of officers, John West was elected president, and Martha Etzbach, secretary. The chairmen of the vari- ous delegations will be chosen at a subsequent meeting. Some of the problems to be consid- ered by the Student council for the current year are as follows: Parking of student automobiles and the regula- tion of student use of autos; the honor study hall; the plan of awarding athletic and school emblems, and other problems of student activities as they arise.
