Country Day Fair Has Everything One Could Desire Perhaps you were among the many who did not get to attend the Vaca- tion Fair at the North Shore Country Day school, Friday of last week. If so, just read the following account of the Fair, written by one of the North Shore Country Day school pu- pils, as an English theme, and you'll know what a great time you missed. "The Vacation Fair at the North Shore Country Day school, Friday, the first of October, went off with a bang of enthusiasm and good work. Everywhere was bustle and excite- ment, bright colors, typical of a fair, and the squealing and squawking of guinea pigs, birds, dogs, cats, etc. "From the travel booth to the pets and back to the Camp booth we walked, our eyes fairly popping out of our heads at all the interesting and comical things we saw. "At the flower and vegetable booth there were wonderful articles grown by the children of the school, some in odd shapes and others much too im- mense to be real. The flowers were lovely in every different color and size imaginable. "The Nature booth had crawling, ugly bugs, that I suppose were really wonderful specimens, but my tastes don't run to bugs. The butterflies were lovely, though, and I do like butter- flies. "We were hungry and tired and se we went up on the stage to a quaint Dutch Kitchen, run by the Tenth grade girls. We had ice cream and cake, as we sat and watched the merrymaking at the Fair. "Somebody said we ought to go on The Trip to the Moon, so we did go and we were good sports about it too; for it was scary and dark. Then we had our pictures taken and they were as good as pictures of us could be. "We then filled our pockets with candy and popcorn, as our stomachs sadly needed rest from the ice cream. "After looking at our favorite booths again we went home, deciding it was the best Fair we had ever been to. And if you want a good time, come next year to the Fair." tr It Is Our Constant Aim to do....
