Public Service Stations More than 21,000 persons became better acquainted with the Public Serv- ice Company of Northern Illinois by means of personal visits to the Com- pany's gas and electricity manufac- turing plants during Open House Week, October 4-9. This is said to be the highest price ever paid for acre- age in Cook county. Electrical Construction Man Buys Site for Home Sidney Dell has purchased through Miss C. J. Hoey, of the North Shore Real Estate company, 418 Linden ave- nue, Wilmette, a 60 foot lot on Laurel avenue, just west of Sheridan road, on which he expects to build, immediately. a fine residence. OPEN OAKLAND SALESROOM The Shoreen Motor company, which has been in the automobile business on West Railroad avenue near Harrison street, Evanston, for several years, is holding an opening this week of its sales and service department for the Oakland and the Pontiac cars.
