The Winnetka team met the North Side team from Lincoln Park, Chicago. In spite of a snow storm, a slippery field, and the absence of one of its players until the second half, the Win- netka team finished the game with a score of 5, while the visitors left with a score of 1. The goals were made by Peggy Waidner, 2, Mrs. Hallett Thorne, 1, Miss Margaret Delay, 1, and Mrs. Thomas Mclaren, 1. The goal made by the opposing team was shot by Mrs. Austin Pardue, formerly Dorothy Kotz, member of last year's Winnetka team. Mrs. Pardue has moved from Winnetka since her mar- riage, and affiliated herself with the North Side team. The next encounter the Winnetka team had, was the North Shore Coun- try Day school, on Wednesday after- noon, November 3, and the next prac- tice for the All-Chicago ream, will take place Saturday, November 6, at Wash- ington Park. The All-Chicago team has not been announced, and will not be for a time. The Madison Yellow-Jackets have wired an invitation to the All-Chicago team to send a team up to Madison this week-end, and a game will be played there Sunday morning, Novem- ber 7. The Yellow-Jacket team is not composed of university girls, but coaches, and older women interested in the sport, much as the Winnetka team is organized. Two more games are scheduled for the North Side tournament, when Win- netka will play Highland Park and Ev- anston, the dates to be announced later. A slight change in the line-up tor the Winnetka team was made in Monday's game, Mrs. S. C. Haskell playing in the forward line in Mrs. Norwood's place, and Mrs. Hallett Thorne playing half-back instead of on the forward line. Mrs. H. J. Cary-Curr of 1051 Spruce street, Winnetka, left Tuesday, Novem- ber 2, to spend a few days in Mil- waukee. you? 554 Center Street ...and not one comes back of all the MAYTAGS we take out to demonstrate, not one comes back.
