C4) aro November 6, 1926 WINNETKA TALK Christian Science Churches "Everlasting Punishment" was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, Sunday, October 31, 1926. The Golden Text was from Psalms 139:23, 24, "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon was the following from the Bible: "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world pass- eth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for- ever" (I John 2:15-17). The Lesson-Sermon also included the following passages from the Christ- ian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy: "Meekly our Mas- ter met the mockery of his unrecog- nized grandeur... He won eternal hon- ors. He overcame the world, the flesh, and all error, thus proving their noth- ingness. He wrought a full salvation from sin, sickness, and death" (p. 39). Mrs. B. W.
