The council asked Village Engineer F., A. Windes to make a study of the matter of widening and repaving Cen- ter street from film street to Tower road, as a part of the through traffic highway. This project, it is said, will also probably include changes at Chest- nut and Spruce streets, so that Chest- nut will connect directly with Center street, and also possibly the widening and repaving of Chestnut street. The work of laying concrete in Cen- ter street from Winnetka avenue to Oak street was finished this week, and sidewalks are now being relaid and ad- justed. As soon as some macadam connections are put in, the road will be ready for traffic, which it is antici- pated will be about December 11.
