November 20, 1926 WINNETKA TALK ls Motor Club Offers Local Autoists Free Service on Licenses Application blanks for 1927 automo- bile licenses have been received by the Motorists' Association of Illinois, 1736 Sherman avenue, and will be supplied, filled out and notaried without charge for motorists of this city. It is requested by P. F. Lowder, dis- trict manager of the North Suburban branch of the association, that owners bring their 1926 license cards with them when they apply for the new licenses. "We shall be very glad to make ap- plications for any motorist who calls at our office." said Mr. Lowder. "There is no charge for this service, as we consider it a part of the club's com- munity service to do this work. "On passenger vehicles it is neces- sary for the applicant to give his name, street and city address, the make of car, color and style of body, kind of power, date of purchase, serial and motor numbers, with the bore of the cylinders and the amount of horse power, as well as the previous year's license number. "The technical information concern- ing the stroke and bore of the motor and the horse power can be obtained at our office from reference books which the association keeps on hand. All other information must be given by the owner of the car. "Every driver in Evanston and the other north shore communities is wel- come to come here for this free service."
