Mills Wins Cross Country Race; Drake Older, Second Forty-seven boys fulfilled their hopes of winning a medal in running, at New Trier recently, when they came in among the first of the cross country racers. Bobbie Mills won by a very small margin, Drake Older ran a very close second, and his brother, Cliff, fol- lowed a swift third. The other boys were A. Hoffman, T. Burns, K. Yost, M. Guy, S. Burge, G. Marshal, H. Hil- ton, B. Johnson, and T. Burgess. The time was extremely good, eleven minutes thirty-three and three fifths seconds. Bobbie Mills, who won the race last year, improved his time record considerably. The results of the race are very en- couraging, the coaches say. They prove that track is popular, that many athletes try out for it, and that the track team has excellent material for long distance running.
