There was a large number of property own- ers present, some of whom expressed themselves in favor of the improve- ment, which they felt is necessary be- cause of water at times in the base- ments of their residences caused by the backing up of the sanitary sewers. Taylor. and Peggy Waidner, Glencoe, to Play in Mid-West Contest Out of the four delegates sent by the Winnetka Hockey team to try out for the All-Chicago Woman's Hockey team, three were chosen members of the first All-Chicago team, which will compete in the Mid-West tourna- ment to be held this week end. Miss Margaret Del.ay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Delay of 878 Oak street, Miss Peggy Waidner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. Harry Waidner of 206 Scott avenue, Glencoe, and Mrs. Lewis Taylor, were chosen. In order, they will play, left-wing, center forward and goal. Announcement is made of the sched- ule of the Mid-West tournament which will take play at Washington Park, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, No- vember 19, 20 and 21. Friday, Battle Creek and the first All-Chicago team will play, and St. Louis and the second All-Chicago team. The win- ners of these games are called teams X and Y respectively. Try Out for Baltimore Saturday morning at 9 o'clock, the intersectional tryouts for the team to be sent to Baltimore will be held. The Urbana team will play X team at 10 o'clock, and at 10:15 the Madison team will play Y team. Sunday morning, November 21 at 10 o'clock, the winners of Saturday's games will play and at 10:15 a game between the Milwaukee team and a team of miscellaneous players not con- nected with any special team will play. One of the last games of the season for the Winnetka team is a friendly game with the North Side team at Lin- coln Park. Following this game, Mrs. Morris Reynolds of Chicago is giving a farewell tea at her home as a final gathering of all those interested in hockey, in honor of Miss Cecily War- ner, the English hockey coach who has been instructing the Chicago teams; Winnetka Wins Again Undefeated in North Shore games, the Winnetka Hockey team, added an- other winning score to its record when it played the Highland Park team, Tuesday evening, November 16, on the North Shore Country Day school field. The score was 6-0 in favor of the Winnetka team, with Mrs. Harvey making three goals, Mrs. Thorne one, Margaret DeLay one, and Mrs. Nor- wood one, The other successful game played by the local team took place earlier in the week at the Country Day school field, when the Evanston team came north to meet the Winnetka group. The score was 3-0 in favor of the Win- netka team, Peggy Waidner shooting two goals, and Margaret Delay one. The lineup for the Evanston game was Mrs. Lewis Taylor, goal, Mrs. Henry Tenney and Mrs. Emmons Blaine, Jr. as full-backs, Mrs. Fred Chapman, Miss Helen Davis, and Mrs. Wilmarth Ickes as half-backs, and Mrs. Dwight Green, Mrs. Thomas McLaren, Miss Peggy Waidner, Mrs. Hallett Thorne and Miss Margaret DeLay as for- wards. SKOKIE WINS 6 TO 0 : On Friddy of last week the Skokie football team defeated the North Shore Heavies 6 to 0, and on Saturday, in the North Shore team's game with Harvard school, neither team scored.
