"Kid Boots," coming as the New Year's Eve and Day feature, is based on the Ziegfield play by the same name. It marks the debut of Eddie Cantor, recruited from musical comedy circles, and certainly introduces a star "that will shine." The plot revolves around the efforts of a young man to avoid the schemes of his wife and her lawyers from getting evidence that would kill his chances for a divorce. In this he is helped by his loyal ser- vant (Eddie Cantor). He succeeds. THE NORSHORE She's a Ziegfeld Follies star, a Lon- don music hall favorite, a ranking screen star and just nineteen years old. Still in her teens, Louise Brooks, Paramount's new star who appears in "Love 'em and Leave 'em" at the Nor- shore theater starting Sunday, has already won herself a high place on the ladder of fame. Louise entered films with a small part in "The Secret of Forgotten Men." A part in "The American Ven- us" followed and she was signed to a long term contract with Paramount pictures. Miss Brooks is now appear- ing in one of the three leading roles in "Love "em and Leave 'em," Frank Tuttle's comedy-drama of the glib chil- dren of Manhattan. The other two starring roles are played by Evelyn Brent and Lawrence Gray.
