He arrived at the Bill home in Northbrook a few days before Christmas in the person of Frank Stupka of Wilmette and left a gift of $100 for the widow whose husband was killed several weeks ago by a Chicago, North Shore and Mil- waukee train at the Lake avenue cross- ing. "I found Mrs. Bill absolutely des- titute," declared Mr. Stupka. "The gift, which was a contribution from many friends in Wilmette and vicinity, came as a godsend for the family had just fourteen cents with no prospects of im- mediate assistance. Mrs. Bill is deeply grateful for this help in her dire dis- tress." Mr. Stupka, whose son, Frank Stupka, Jr. died with Mr. Bill when a truck in which they were riding was hit by the Skokie Valley train, was re- sponsible for securing donations for the purse he presented to Mrs. Bill. tm ---- Mrs. road luncheon and honor of Mrs. Charles Aspenwall of Tower few friends at Wednesday in .
