The Golden Text was from Isaiah 25:1, "O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth." Among the citations which compris- ed the lesson-sermon was the following from the Bible: "And this is the con- demnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought n God" (John 3:19,21). The lesson-sermon also included the following passages from the Christian Science 'textbook, "Science and Health with Key -to the Scriptures," by. Mary Baker Eddy: "The rays of infinite Truth, when gathered into the focus of ideas, bring light instantaneously, whereas a thousand years of human doctrines, hypotheses, and vague con- jectures emit no such effulgence" (p. 504).
