<% February 12) 1927 WINNETKA TALK 27 North Shore Garden Clubs to Cooperate | in Chicago Exhibit) Twenty Garden clubs have pledged co-operation in the Chicago Garden and Flower Show, to be held at the Hotel Sherman, March 7 to 12. All| sent delegates to a meeting of the| Garden Club Flower Show committee | at the Hotel Sherman, presided over by the chairman, Mrs. Frederick, of Glencoe. It was decided that there will be two competitions open to the Garden clubs, and final details were decided upon as follows: Table decoration: Each club enter- ing this contest will become responsible for two tables, one a formal dinner for six; the other, a garden tea for two. Tables will be supplied by the show, uniform in size and shape. The club must provide the china, linen and dec- orations. No flat silver will be used. Both flowers and china may be. ob- tained gratis from dealers on condi- tions which will be furnished on in- quiry by the chairman. The flowers must be kept in good condition throughout the show. Floral arrangements: Each club en- tering this contest will provide a vase, basket or other receptacle containing a bouquet arranged for effect, which will be staged in a spot-lighted shadow box, lined with black to display the colors of the bouquet at their best. The public and professional judges will both judge the exhibits, the public balloting on its choice. Besides rib- bons, a bronze medal will be given to the winner in each contest. A special room will be set aside for Garden club members, and the co- operating clubs will delegate repre- sentatives who will act as hostesses to all visiting clubs.
