Each separate group has several meetings of this kind during the year. Sometimes it takes the form of afternoon tea, some- times: a luncheon or dinner, the girls cooking and serving the food. On Thursday, March 10, the seven groups of Camp Fire Girls are to be joint hostesses to their Mothers and the Camp Fire Council, in Community House, and a social afternoon is planned. It will be an occasion of fun, and friendship. Each group is eagerly preparing a short stunt for entertain- ment. There will also be an oppor- | tunity for the Mothers to become a little better acquainted with the mean- ing of Camp Fire and its ideals, through short talks on the work by some of the Guardians. Mrs. E. E. Stults, of the Camp Fire Council has the refreshments in charge. Coming Events in Camp Fire The Camp Fire Girls are preparing for their annual Spring Food Sale the Saturday after Easter, April 23, in Community House, when they will have their usual delicious food on sale. The Grand Ceremonial of Camp Fire will be held Saturday, May 7th in the Rudolph Matz hall of Community House. Indoor Putting Honors Taken by Fred Richardson The various contests which were started some weeks ago at the Win- netka Masoni¢ temple by members of Winnetka lodge, are rapidly nearing completion. The first to reach that stage and the one which attracted the most - attention, as well as entries, was the indoor putting contest which ended last week. Thirty-two contestants tried their skill in this event and when the smoke of battle rose the winner proved to be Fred Richardson, Jr., who won the final match from G. W. Andrews by one hole. The semi-finals brought Ellsworth and Andrews together and Richardson and Eastman, Andrews winning his match, two up, and Rich- ardson taking his opponent, one up. Others who won their first two matches but failed to survive any further were Hazen Foster, Fred Wolter, Jr., George Mullen and Fritz Eckart. Three other tournaments are under way : billiards, pool and bridge-whist. In the latter event Goble, Wolter, Weinstock and Eastman have reached one bracket of the semi-finals. Sewell has won two matches in the billiard tournament and Mauland has done the same in the pool matches.
