| EE (4 Aw \\f a March 12, 1927 WINNETKA TALK Hubbard Woods' New Apartment Building ji ih The uniformly good weather favor- able to building operations which has prevailed since the breaking of ground a few weeks ago for the new apart- ment building at 916 to 920 Lincoln avenue, Hubbard Woods, insures its completion on if not before the con- templated date, May 1. Jevne Haugan, son of Oscar H. Haugan, vice chairman of the board of the State Bank of Chicago, with whom is associated a group of enterprising young men, including R. J, "Duke" Dunne, son of former Governor Dunne, Franklin Clement, Howard Knight and Frederick V. Prather, the architect, are constructing this most attractive apartment and store build- ing, the cost of which will be around $225,000. The exterior is of brick to tne top of the second story and above that of stucco and half timber in the old Eng- lish design. It fronts 100 feet with a depth of 150, and is of the court type with a pergola in the court, including a garden and fountain. The interior is divided into 24 apart- ments of two, three and four rooms, renting for $60, $75, $90 and $95. There will be four stores, two of which have been taken by the Hearthstone Tea Shop. The apartments will be beauti- fully finished and equipped. There will be roll-a-way beds and shower baths and electric refrigeration. Mrs. Paul Heinsen of 772 Lincoln avenue is entertaining twenty guests at a St. Patrick's luncheon and bridge on Thursday, March 17.
