March 26, 1927 WINNETKA TALK 19 Bahai Leaders Plan Renewal of Building of Temple Structure Four new local bodies have recent- ly been organized in North to take an active part in Bahai work. | Bahais | St. Augustine, | Wilmette. | Bahai | The new Assemblies are the of Vancouver, B. C.; Fla.; Ithaca, N. Y.; and There are now forty-six local Assemblies in the United States and Canada, and twenty-four groups lack- ing the requisite number entitling them to form Assemblies and send delegates to the National Spiritual Assembly. To date nine National Spiritual As- | semblies are in existence, four in the Occident, composed of Aryans, the white race, namely: The States and Canada, Germany, (reat Britian and Ireland, Caucasus. The nineteenth annual convention of the Bahais of the United States and Canada will be held at Montreal toward the end of April. It will con- sist of ninety-five delegates. Among the matters to be considered is the proper legal status for the cause in the United States and Canada in order to observe future legal obligations. North Shore citizens will be inter- ested in learning that the ensu- ing national convention will devote attention to providing means for the resumption of construction work on the edifice which is located at Linden avenue and Sheridan road, Wilmette. The public is invited to attend meetings for the elucidation of the Bahai teachings, Sunday afternoons at 3 o'clock, in the studio of Louis Bourgeois, the architect, at 536 Sher- idan road. There is no charge for admission to Bahai meetings, nor are collections taken, it is explained. America | Cellist for Concert | | Alfred Wallenstein will be soloist at the North Shore Chamber Music cou- cert on Sunday afternoon, April 3, at 4 o'clock, at the Kenilworth Assembly hall. Mr. Wallenstein is first violin- cellist of the Chicago Symphony or- chestra, and is a pupil of the cele- brated cellist, Julius Klengel. This is the last of the concerts to be given.
