Kraus Realty company announces that it has sold all its prop- erties east of Ridge avenue, in Kenil- worth, with the exception of a few pieces fronting on Ridge avenue. In this area there are now in course of construction homes aggregating a value of $300,000, varying from $15,000 to $30,000 each: Since sewer and water improvements have been started in the Kenilworth Gardens area, the A. H. Kraus com- pany has sold $100,000 worth of prop- erty in that section within a period of thirty days. Building in Illinois Cities Shows Big Gain Building as shown by permits issued in 28 Illinois cities increased from $26,038,945 in January of this year to $41,941,141 in February, a gain of 61.1 per cent. No price was given, Real Estate Board Hears Talk on "Salesmanship" The North Shore Real Estate board held its monthly meeting Monday evening, March 21, at the Lake Shore Terrace, Sheridan road, and Chestnut avenue, Wilmette. The attendance was unusually good, among those present were Messrs. Place, Wood- cock, Smith, Olson, Hill, Brown, Sta- cey, Wyatt, Burroughs, McDowell, Reid, Drs. Ayers and Bradwell, Miss Deittrich, Mrs. Wink, and Mrs. Mec- Dowell. Following a chicken dinner, the business meeting was held with President Wyatt, presiding. Many subjects of interest to the board came up for discussion. Following which the guest of the evening, Fred Clark, of the firm of Hipple & Clark, gave a very interesting address on "Real Estate Salesmanship." The public was invited and the mem- bers were pleased to see that quite a number of the prominent north shore business men attended. It is the plan of the board to have many more such valuable talks this year, and all bank- ers, brokers, builders and those inter- ested in real estate matters will be invited to attend. Announcement of meetings will be made from time to time. New Realty Firm Opens Offices in Wheeling The A. P. Walker company, not in- corporated, formerly of Mankato, Minn., has opened an office in Wheel- ing, Ill, and will specialize in acreage in the northwest section of Cook coun- ty. Mr. Walker has been prominent in real estate work in Minnesota for 20 years where he has been an officer of the state association.
