The proceeds are to go into the Post's service fund and the public is invited to lend liberal aid in this worthy cause. Among the many attractions to be offered will be dancing, music for which will be "furnished by Wally Dehmlow's six-piece orchestra, special song numbers, a prize dance contest and a prize beauty contest. Young Men's Class Ends Successful Bowling Year The Young Men's class of the Win- netka Congregational church met at the Woman's club Friday night and concluded the bowling season with an evening of sport on the alleys. The class plans to open the baseball sea- son soon. Sunday morning the class joins with the Men's class at 9:30 o'clock in the Legion room, Com- munity House, to hear Dr. Paul Hutchinson discuss the "Official Rela- tions between the United States and China." Eckstorm, well known Chicago architect, with offices at 5 North LaSalle street, died Tuesday evening, March 29, at 5 o'clock, at Grant hos- pital, following an illness of three months' duration. Mr. Eckstorm was architect for a number of the origi- nal buildings of the University of Chi- cago. He 1s survived by his wife and one daughter, and also a sister, Miss Caroline Eckstrom, of 888 Oak street, Winnetka. Funeral services were con- ducted Thursday from the residence, 717 Gordon terrace, by the Rev. James Austin Richards, pastor of the Win- netka Congregational church. Burial was at Graceland. Village Board Authorizes Purchase of Motorcycles The motorcycle squad of the Win- netka police department is to have two new Indian motorcycles.
