Eighteen members attended the season's inaugural and individual honors in the shoot were won by J. M. Dickinson, Jr. Dr. Charles B. Blake of Wilmette was a close second, with Kenneth Beall, winner of the club's trophy last year, third. Best scores of the other leading partici- pants: L. H. G. Lewis 27; The club was formed by a group of leading Winnetka residents, and in the first year of its organization held reg- ular meets every two weeks. It is expected that the officers will greatly extend the scope of the club's activities during the coming year and shoots will be held regularly and at shorter intervals. Operating as it does under the recognition of the U. S. Govern- ment War department, the club is supplied with ammunition and a limit- ed number of rifles, without charge, and membership is open to all those interested in work of this character under the restrictions as determined by the club's by-laws.
