Mrs. Erskine Wilder, who has served on the school staff during the year, and Mrs. Edward Rosenheim, who has been connected with this project from its beginning, assisted Miss Corinne Fitzpatrick, school director. The little school home was open from attic to paint-shop in the cellar to the guests, for whom the children had prepared an exhibit of handwork. Miss Fitzpatrick, who five years ago was invited by a group of Winnetka men and women to organize a co- operative school for children from two-and-a-half to 7 years of age, read a report of the activities and accom- plishments of the past term, and re- stated the purpose and ambitions un- der which this group was conceived, briefly : the enlarging and enriching of a little child's life along its own natural interests and activities, but under the conditions of a controlled environment and the direction of a sympathetic and trained adult; with an extension of service into the child's home and its problems. It was decided that the current term would close on Tuesday, May 31 and classes re-open Monday, October 3, housed at the same school home which was leased at 769 Locust street, Hubbard Woods. On Wednesday, May 26, the mothers will give the children their spring pic- nic at Lincoln park; and on Friday, May 28, the children will entertain their parents, at the home of Mrs. Erskine Wilder, with an hour of music.
