James Cady Ewell of Highland Park | is president ; William T. Jones of Wil- mette, vice-president; Mrs. J. W. F. Davies of Winnetka, secretary; and Mrs. Felix Boldenweck of Winnetka, treasurer. These former directors were re- elected: Jesse Smith, Rudolph Ingerle, Allen Philbrick, Mrs. A. J. Coburn, Mrs. A. M. Burnham, and Mrs. John Vennema. New directors are E. L. Nygaard, Lionel Robertson, Frank Dil- lon, and Mrs. Edward Brion. Mrs. Homer Cotton of New Trier High school spoke on "New Trier as an Art Center," Mr. Ewall dis- cussed the question of having children's classes in painting, drawing, and mod- eling conducted in schools in the north shore towns, beginning in October, The teachers of these classes will be an- nounced later, As this was the last meeting of the season, plans for next year were formed. The plans include a series of lectures to be given during the fall, Lake Forest Flower Show to Have Open Entry List The Lake Forest Garden club has announced a Flower show on the estate of Mrs. Rockefeller McCormick on Saturday, May 28, from 12 noon to 8 in the evening, and on Sunday, May 29, from 10 in the morning until 8. Spring flowers will be the special feature of this show and many new classes of flowers will be exhibited. Entries are open to everyone, applica- tion blanks being obtainable from Mrs. Albert B. Dick, Jr., Lake Forest, Ill. The public is invited to attend this exhibition on Mrs. Rockefeller Mc- Cormick's estate, which will be open on these two days. A small admission fee will be charged, the receipts to be devoted to the development of land- scaping and garden art through an ed- ucational program. The show is being held on Saturday and Sunday to give motorists the op- portunity of viewing it. The estate is in easy access to a number of communities in the vicinity of Lake Forest. Board of Theatre Guild Entertains Committees The board of directors of the North Shore Theatre guild entertained the members of the local committees in the north shore towns, at an informal party Thursday evening, May 19, at the Winnetka Woman's club. The entertainment was in charge of Samuel Otis, who, with his reputation established as "Falstaff" in "Henry IV," was chosen as chairman.
