[ Bond Ballot June 11 By voting bonds which provide for a | new addition to the library, the chil- dren's work will be better organized and the books will be stored and dis- played in a much better way than is possible at the present time. The ref- erence room space will be enlarged so that the children will be better en- abled to work right at the library and will not be forced to withdraw heavy and expensive volumes and take them to their homes. Surely all of these facts should make every thinking par- ent desire to help in securing the suc- cess of the bond election. Don't for- get to vote favorably on this important question. Mrs. G. A. To Hold Military Tourney in Grant Park Last of June The War Department, through the Commanding General of the Sixth Corps Area, has authorized a Military Tournament to be given at Soldiers Field Stadium, Grant Park, Chicago, on June 24, 25 and 26, under the aus- pices of the 317th Cavalry. The regu- lar troops from Fort Sheridan, various components of the National Guard, Polo teams, civilian organizations, Chi- cago Police, etc., will take part, and the show will be exceedingly spectacu- lar, interesting and entertaining. Matinee performances at 2:00 p.m. and evening performances at 7:30 p. m. The general admission is $1.00 for adults and 50c for children under 12 years of age. Winnetka Post of the American Le- gion is handling the sale of tickets in the village. They can be obtained at Adam's pharmacy, Winnetka, Hubbard Woods pharmacy and the Indian Hill pharmacy. Inasmuch as the local Post receives a commission on tickets sold by them, they would appreciate it if the people of Winnetka would pur- chase their tickets at these stores. Mrs. A.
