Also | Teatro Schedules "Evening Clothes" and "Better Ole" Three of the season's best pictures are scheduled for appearance next week at Teatro del Lago, forming a dazzling program of productions that warrants unusual attention. In the "Love of Sunya," which will be shown on Mnoday and Tuesday, Gloria Swanson is said to reach the peak of her successful career. It is the first picture that she has produced as an owner member of the United Artists. Gloria appears in five inten- sively dramatic characterizations and her dominant personality is more at- tractive than ever. Gloria Swanson, in the incarnation of an Egyptian girl centuries ago. Gloria Swanson, a modern American girl, sought by a reincarnate Yogi. Gloria Swanson, the temperamental opera singer, who shocks sophisticated Paris. Gloria Swanson, the "bought" wife of the millionaire. Gloria Swanson, prematurely aged school teacher, battling to support her family. These are her characterizations and so she moves triumphantly through a picture of conflicting love, duty and ambition. "The Love of Sunya" is re- plete with romance, passion, pathos and laughter, with the mysticism of ancient | Egypt. Evening Clothes Adolphe Menjou's "Evening Clothes" is doubtless one of his greatest pro- ductions. In this film, which will be the feature for Wednesday, the "prince of actors" creates another of his un- forgettable screen characters. He dem- onstrates anew his versatility in the very opening scenes, when he portrays the French gentleman farmer, whose pleasures are the native pleasures of rustic life. He is driven to become a boulevardier, when his marriage turns out to be a failure. Germaine (Virginia Valli) who marries him in deference to her parents' wishes, scorns him and his uncouth friends. She has been brought up in the drawing rooms of Paris and is out of sympathy with the country life. Realizing their in- compatibility he allows her to leave home the night of their marriage. Life henceforth is a battle of wits, with Menjou at his best in all the finer sub- | tleties of acting. "The Better 'Ole" Last but far from least--as the old "saw" goes--that "comedy of errors, Sid Chaplin's "The Better 'Ole," caps house down in a tiot of laughter on Thursday and Friday. The inimitable Sid takes the part of the famous car- toon character "Old Bill" and the story deals with his activities in France. the climax and bids fair to bring the | Body of Nurse, Missing a Month, Found in Lake The body of Miss Thora Johnson, nurse, who, on the evening of May 4, disappeared from the home of Whip- ple Jacobs, 420 Elder lane, Winnetka, was removed from Lake Michigan last Saturday, at the foot of Barry avenue, Chicago, by the Lincoln Park police and removed to the Segerson under- taking parlors at 3154 North Clark street. a The finding of the coroner's jury Monday, was that the woman came to her death from accidental drowning. Relatives, testifying at the inquest, said she was accustomed to taking strolls along the lake. They also said she was subject to attacks of dizzy spells, and was having her eyes treated and fitted with glasses to over- come this trouble. It is presumed that on the evening of May 4, she went on one of her accustomed strolls along the lake and possibly fell off a pier.
