This club launched less than a year ago has met with great success. The club executives are reticent as to the program of entertainment for the opening. The first idea to have a one- day opening failed because of the mem- bership demand that they be privileged to bring guests, thereby necessitating a four-day opening. However, it is known that a Spaniard, late of Madrid, a singer of note from the Mexico City Grand Opera company, and some tal- ented stellar lights of the Chicago Civic Opera company are numbered among the entertainers for the club's pre- opening. There will be many other features, some of them surprising. Parking safety, check room necessi- ties, main dining room, grill, locker rooms, beach fountain, and children's catering form the initial service ready for members. Afternoon and evening social possibilities, beach pleasures, and use of the clock golf course, ten- nis and badminton courts and other sporting diversions connected with the club form another story.
