og AN/ ay July 23, 1927 WINNETKA TALK 33 "Stampede" Tourney Feature Event for Illinois Golf Club "The Stampede," Illinois Golf club's big invitation event, is to be held next Thursday and indications are that there will be more players on the course that day than at any previous time. There will be 36 holes of golf with prizes for first, second and third low gross. Also players will be divid- ed into five flights and there will be prizes for first, second and third low net winners in each flight. But that is not all. There will be prizes for low net foursome in the 18 hole morning play and prizes for the low net foursome victors in the after- noon. The winner of the Stampede will have his name engraved on the "Stam pede Cup," which becomes the per- manent property of a player winning it three times. Tt is announced that the entry list will close at 180. After the golf battle is finished the members and their guests will enjoy an evening's entertainment at the club and several surprises have been prom- ised. Because of their past residence on the north shore, Miss Clampitt and Mr. Gage have chosen to be married where they have so many friends. Barret Conway and his son, Bobby, of 387 Linden street, left last week for Diamond G. ranch, Wyoming, and a trip through Yellowstone Park.
