It was not until 1880 that he started in the business which was to later bring him considerable fame throughout Chicago and the north shore. His first connection wit} the business was as director of the renting department. Later he entered the firm of Rose, Barry and Quinlan of Chicago. The firm of Quinlan and Tyson wa: later formed and in 1895 the compan: moved to 526 Davis street, Evanston For ten years they occupied quarters at 701 Davis street, recently moving tc 1571 Sherman avenue. Mr. Quinla: was a member of the Chicago and Ev- anston real estate boards and the chambers of commerce of both cities.
