Lansing Home One of the largest recent real estate transactions in Winnetka has just been closed, involving the sale of what is known as the R. U. Lansing home at 315 Ridge avenue, title of which is held Yy Mrs. Ambrose Thomas, mother of the late Mrs. R. U. Lansing. The residence, a fine frame structure of eleven rooms, together with 101 feet of grounds, were sold to Roswell B. Mason, of 326 Ridge avenue, and the remaining 140 feet of grounds was sold to P. W. Bradstreet. The entire tract is beautifully land- scaped, including some of the largest and finest native trees in the village. The sale, an all cash transaction, was made by Alvar R. Sutter, of 545 Lin- coln avenue, Winnetka, who repre- sented all partiés in the transaction. Possession is to be given April 1, 1928, Mr. and Mrs. Nash Cazel of 860 Pine street are motoring through Indiana and Ohio, visiting relatives and friends. Ralph E. Foster Joins Hokanson Jenks Sales Force Hokanson and Jenks, Inc., 513 Davis street, announce the addition to their sales force of Mr. Ralph E. Foster, formerly operating independently in the real estate brokerage business under the firm name of R. E. Foster. Mr. Foster specializes in the hand- ling of residential properties and ex- pects to devote his entire time to that branch of the business. This is a six room frame resi- dence on a lot 50x150. Hokanson and Jenks, Inc., represented the buyers and George S. Ballard the sellers. They also report the sale of the new six-room residence at 1225 Chancellor street, Evanston, from Chas. E. Blom- gren, Jr., to W. E. Gathany of 729 Seward street. Mr. and Mrs. Gathany expect to move into their new home the first of October. Illinois holds third place in the union in the manufacture of mucilage, paste and other adhesives.
