- A TT a ---- September 17, 1927 WINNETKA TALK Landmark Gives Way to New Club John Ridgely Marshall Photo This familiar structure, the Ouilmette Country club, will soon give way to a thoroughly modern and pretentious $700,000 clubhouse to be erected by a club which, in consequence of a merger of the Ouilmette Country club and the Century club of Evanston, came into being late last week. The new club combines the objectives of its two predecessors which were identical in character, The new club house will include all the features of the present structure augmented by numerous other facilities for recreational and social activity, it is stated.
