Why do people rake leaves and spend a lot of time keeping their lawn clean when, only a few days after all this work is done, more leaves have fallen to the ground than ever before, and the job has to be done all over again. It's a funny thing, but people are continually coming to our store and asking for : Pennsylvania Lawn Sweepers Bamboo and Steel Leaf Rakes Wooden Lawn Rakes Leaf Baskets W heel Barrows Rubbish Burners and ""what-have-you" to keep the lawn nice and clean. Well, to tell you the truth, we really carry such things, people want them and we sell them. Better come in and see the nice layout we have, we can't tell you all about them in this space. Drowning Theories Go Amiss When This Fair Bather Appears All this because Miss Jeanne Stiegler, of 4223 Potomac avenue, Chicago, like the girl in the story book, who "hung her clothes upon a hickory limb but did not go near the water," created a ripple of excitement even though the placid waters of lake Michigan were not disturbed, when she came to Win- | netka Tuesday and brought her bath- ing suit. Miss Stiegler did not hang her clothes upon a limb, either, but left them on the beach south of Elder lane. John Dewar, Jr., a life guard first saw them there about 11 o'clock that morn- ing. They were still there at eventide and Dewar notified the police. "Twas a mystery! Had the wearer disrobed and then drowned herself? At 3 a. m. the following morning, Miss Stiegler who had been frantic- ally hunting for her clothes, finally lo- cated the garments at police head- quarters. Officer Chris Johanssen permitted her to use the police garage as a dress- ing room to don the much coveted ap- parel, after which she departed for her home. Miss Stiegler, she explained, was formerly a nurse at the North Shore Health Resort. The beach, which she chose as the spot for her morning dip, was not far distant from the place of her former employment. After swim- ming around for a while she decided to run up to visit some of her old friends at the Health Resort. She remained longer than she had intended and in the meantime her clothing was found and the visions of a mysterious drowning formulated. $1245 CHASSIS F.0.B.
