re ------ September 24, 1927 WINNETKA TALK 43 Fox Film Executive Buys Residence in Wilmette C. W. Eckhardt, executive manager for the Fox Film corporation with studios in New York City and Holly- wood and offices throughout the world, has purchased the attractive residence of Louis H. Wolff located at 1128 Greenwood avenue, Wilmette, and will take occupancy about November 1. The house is of stucco construction containing eight rooms, sun parlor, sleeping porch, breakfast ' nook, two baths and attached garage. Mr. and Mrs. Wolff are moving to Indianapolis to be with their children who are living in the Indiana metropo- lis. Mr. Wolff was for many years special state agent for the Aetna Fire Insurance company for the state of Indiana. E. C. Phillips, Wilmette real estate broker, represented both Mr. Wolff and Mr. Eckhardt in the transaction. Mr. Phillips announces that several other leading film executives from the Fast who are moving to Chicago are interested in establishing homes on the north shore. Tell of Spanish Travels "The Soul of Spain" is the general title of a series of vesper travel talks which the Rev. George Craig Stewart, rector of St. Luke's Episcopal church, Evanston, recently returned from three months abroad, is giving Sun- day evenings at St. Luke's. 5 The talks will cover descriptions of the places visited by Dr. Stewart in his wanderings from Granada in the south of Spain to the Caves of Alte- mira north near the Bay of Biscay. Last Sunday the subject of the opening talk was "Seveille. The Dance in the Chancel." Dates and subjects of the others are: Sept. 25--"Granada. The Last Sigh of the Moore"; Octs 2--"Toledo. The Home of Santa Teresa"; Nov. 13--*"Valladolid. The Tragedy of Columbus"; Nov. 20--"Laon and Burgos. A Contrast in Architec- ture"; Nov. 27--"Altemira. The Cave Men of Long Ago." No seats are reserved in St. Luke's. The vested choir has resumed its sing- ing following its summer vacation and sings at the 4:30 vespers as well as at the 11 o'clock morning service. The vesper service lasts an hour. Mr. and Mrs. Daniel H. Ellsworth of 460 Cedar street have returned from a 4,000 mile motor trip through the West.
