Only two collisions were recorded during the past week, and neither of these was of a serious nature. There were two accidents within the same period, however, in one of which one of the occupants of a car was seri- ously hurt and taken to the Evanston hospital. This accident occurred Thursday afternoon at 12:30, on Tower road at Lincoln avenue. Mrs. S. T. Scofield, of 565 Drexel avenue, Glencoe, was driving west on Tower road. In her car was a new bicycle which she had just purchased and was taking home. The bicycle was jostled over and in attempting to straighten it she lost control of her car which crashed into a tree in the park way. The car was considerably damaged and Mrs. Scofield sustained a deep cut over the right eve and on the left ear. Dr. Frank W. Blatchford dressed her injuries. Last Thursday afternoon an electric driven by Miss Eleanor Rew of 217 Dempster street, Evanston, toppled over at the foot of the Sheridan road hill at Humbolt and was slightly damaged, but Miss Rew escaped in- jury. Miss Rew lost control of the car in descending the hill, according to Officer Chris Johannesen. Motorcycle officer Charles M. Bemus reported an accident at Elm street and Ridge avenue, Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock, when two cars, one driven by Glen Ford, of Winnetka, and Ben Mar- tin, of Evanston, had a slight mix-up. The damage was slight. There was also another slight acci- dent at Willow and Linden, Sunday afternoon, according to the report of Sergeant J. G. Boyd.
