The dinner will be served in the dining room of the New Trier High school at Indian Hill. Every committeeman, fathers of Scouts, and others interested in Scouting on the north shore will plan to attend. Walter M. Kiplinger, regional executive, supervising Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin, will be the speaker of the evening. The week-end following Thanks- giving it will be used for an encamp- ment of junior officers. The men en- rolled in the training course will hold one overnight session there. A winter camp is planned to be held during the Christmas holidays, beginning Tues- day morning, December 27. The Cabin- in-the-Woods has become a mighty im- portant part of north shore Scouting. Junior Officers at Conference Forty boy officers of sixteen dif- ferent troops met last Saturday at St. Elisabeth's church in Glencoe and held a very worth while conference. The committee of boys to plan fu- ture meetings was chosen and it was decided to hold a conference for the troops in the north end of the district every other month, alternating with the conference to be held in the south end of the council. The committee, made up of Scouts from Highland Park and north, com posed of Ernest West, Dallas Clark, Thomas 'Brennan, F. Chapin Lytton. with representatives from Lake Forest still to be elected, decided that the Oc- tober 22 conference would be held in Highland Park. Detailed arrange- ments are being planned. Alvin Bartholomew, Robert King, John Betak, and Pat Pope, with rep- resentatives from towns not repre- sented still to be elected, make up the committee which is planning the con- ference for the south end troops to be held November 19. It is probable that this conference will be held at Kenil- worth. Plan Courts of Honor Highland Park Court of Award will be held at the Village hall at 7:30 p. m. on the evening of Monday, October J.
