October i; 1927 WINNETKA TALK wun Ww Activities of the Winnetka Boy Scouts all YOY meeting of Winnetka The second regular four troops of the scouts was held last Thursday evening at Community House. At that time scoutmasters and their assistants were named for each of the four troops and plans were formulated for the comple- tion of the organization of the troops. The scoutmasters and their assis- tants, who will work under the super vision of Chief J. W. F. Davies, are follows: Troop 1, Dr. George Eisenbach, scoutmaster; Troop 2, Robert F. Doepel, scoutmaster, and Albert Plumley, assistant scoutmaster ; Troop 3, James R. Goetz, scoutmaster and Bruce Thomas, assistant scout- master; Troop 4, L.. Sherman Aldrich, sébutmaster, and R. B. Brown, tant scoutmaster. Attendance at the meetings of the four troops was excellent, between 45 and 50 boys being present at each meeting. Prospects, according to those in charge, are excellent and it is das assis- anticipated that this year will be one of the greatest in the history of the Winnetka Scout organization. Plan General Program [lmmediately following the meeting of the varous troops, all of the scout- masters and their assistants met with Chief Davies for the purpose of start- ing the outlining of the general pro- | her gram which will be followed in the | conducting of the troops. To Hold Parents' Night [t has been decided to devote the last meeting of each month to a monthly inspection of the troops and to holding a demonstration for the benefit of the parents of the scouts. The first of these parent nights will be held Thursday evening, October 28, and activities will start at 7:30 There will be a program of regular scout activities and inter-troop compe- tition.
